Installation and Operation of Emergency Safety Showers

1. As a basic rule the emergency safety showers must be placed as close to the working places as possible. The flushing must start immediately after the accidents have occurred, and last at least 5 seconds. When installing the emergency safety showers, please remember that the showers must be easy to find and that the access must always be free.
2. If a person works alone, it is wise to install a sound and/or light alarm too, which begins functioning as soon as the shower is operated.

Operation

1. All emergency safety showers are constructed in a way that enssures easy operation.
2. When activating the emergency shower, the flushing continues automatically.

Water Pressure and Temperature

1. The emergency safety showers are connected to the cold water system which ensures clean and fresh water. The temperature should be around 8ºC to 20 ºC.

Using

Installing instruction:
A. Installation Environment

1. Before installing, should confirm whether the inlet pipe is installed completely and washing, to ensure that no impurities in the pipe.

2. Inlet water pressure requirement:0.2Mpa<inlet water pressure<0.6Mpa
B. Installation steps
1. Before installation, please make sure have 32 mm diameter hole is drilled.
2. Remove the stable sleeve in the tray, end of lock nut and flat washer etc.
3. Pass the hose through the tray hole with the taper upward;
4. Screw the taper nut of the hose (with rubber gasket inside) onto the 1 2 "thread of the front control valve at the lower end of the eye washer body;
5. Connect the other end of the hose (with rubber gasket inside) with the 1 2 "thread of the water inlet pipe;
6. Place the eye washer body on the tray;
7. Connect the water inlet pipe and check whether the connections are firm and whether there is water leakage;
8. Test: take out the eye washer, press the push button and push it forward, that is, turn on the switch, and check whether the water from the nozzle is smooth and whether there are impurities not removed; Whether the water jet is suitable for eye washing can be adjusted by rotating the front control valve knob. After the test, pull back and release the push button to close the switch.
Instructions for use:
When in use, extract the main body of the eye washer from the tray, press the push button with your thumb and push it forward at the same time, open and close the valve and lock the water flow, and then shower; After showering, pull back the push button and release it to close the valve, and then place the eye washer body on the tray.

Notices:
1. If the water pressure is lower than 0.15 MPa, it may cause the water outlet effect is not so good, and if it is higher than 0.6 MPa, it may cause closing not well.
